what's the next step up from my worn out Altec Lansing 45.2 speaker system

I don't need anything too special. I was satisfied with my Altec Lansing 45.2 speakers but they stopped working.

So I'm in the market for something similar since the 45.2 are no longer available.

Any idea what the next step up would be?

u cant buy sound online, unless u hear it person first. go to a store, pick out what u want, and either buy it there or come back and get it cheaper online. i just bought a klipsch 2.1 set from best buy for $170. coulda saved $ online, but i needed it for this saturday for a party.

Yeah, those are the same thing.

2.1 means 2 satellite speakers and 1 subwoofer.

Those are the same speakers for only 99 bucks at amazon? That sounds like a hot deal.

I don't know how good the seller is that Amazon is selling from on those. That would be my only concern about it.

$99 is a good price on that set.
