I hate drinking water. I'm a pop (no, not soda) girl or other sugared drinks. i know! it's bad! anyways, i tried the water drinking thing but i just end up drinking less during the day and always being thirsty. i can't do it. so what should i drink that's healthy but that's not water??? any suggestions? and what happens if i spend my whole life drinking nothing but kool-aid, snapple, and pepsi? hehe.

Water with a slice of lemon or lime. :)

Seriously, everything else is a step down. Most pop has tons of calories, carbs, sugar and caffeine. Diet pop has artifical sweeters with side-effects. Tea has caffiene.

Fruit juice and milk are pretty good though all fruit juices contain loads of sugar.

Unsweatened green tea would be my guess, followed by that gatorade propel "fitness" water.

I prefer sweetened drinks too over water, however, I have found something that satisfies me just as well with no sugar (quite the opposite in fact)

I buy a big bottle of RealLemon concentrate and add that to the water to give it just a hint of lemon flavor. It's not too sour, and I prefer it to water (prefer it to just about anything actually, I've been pop-free for about 3 weeks now without a problem)

Avoid drinks with artificial sweeteners... I like apple juice myself. You might also want to try the new water from Gatorade.. Propel.. It's flavored, packed with vitamins, no artificial sweeteners, and only has 5 or 10 calories per serving. I personally love the stuff.

I can't stand diet anything. and if i remember correctly crystal lite is pretty gross. i'm not sure about unsweetened tea..maybe i will try that. is gatorade really that healthy? a piece of lime in my water isnt' enough taste. and i might try the aquafina stuff.

thanks for the suggestions!

not just a piece of lemon/lime, I use enough reallemon that you can definatly taste it. Add more as you like it. It's super cheap too, a $2.50 bottle lasts me over 4 weeks.

Personally, I think Crystal Light lemonade is one of the best lemonades available.

Most certainly any kind of fruit juice. Preferrable something somewhat fresh, like Odwalla.

Why don't you like water? Good water should taste almost sweet.. Make sure it's really cold, nearly freezing.

And invest in a PUR Filter, they really do work very well. I can't imagine not having mine. :)

i second crystal light. good stuff and barely ANY calories.

artificial sweetners aren't going to hurt you anymore thna anything else. everything gives you cancer these days and personally i'd rather take that risk than poison my body with copious amounts of refined sugars...

Don't drink milk. It's not good for you. All the healthy bones propaganda is nothing but a bunch of BS.

Besides, you just want liquid in your system.. not all the fat and calories that come with milk.

Please don't drink milk just for it's calcium content. You can absorb such a small ammount(a few percent) of the calcium in milk that it's not even worth it. If you're concerned about your calcium intake, eat more deep green leafy vegetables.

Even things like cereal aren't worth it if you're looking for calcium. We tend to put tricalcium phosphate into our "enriched" foods, and call it calcium. We're not plants. We don't process and digest chalk. Sorry. lol...

hehe ok ok. next time i go to the grocery store i'll try crystal light again. i haven't had it in awhile, maybe i'm confusing it with something else.

as for milk...i heard it's bad for you? i get my vitamin D from orange juice. and as for natural juices..don't most add tons of sugar. which is also bad for you? ahhhhhhh. everything i drink my friends tell me why i shouldn't. they are like WATER WATER WATER.

Well it seems Crystal Lite powder uses aspartame (common diet pop artificial sweetner with all the side effects) but the pure liquid uses sucralose. Never heard of sucralose. I'll check it out next time. :)

I think sucralose is the new sweatener from Europe that is in Pepsi One. I beleive it was just recently approved by the FDA.
