I have not seen nore heard anything on ATI's newest graphics card and hope someone else has....I'm waiting to see what ATI has to offer before I buy a 7800GTX incase they are better and I'm a bit biased to ATI cards in the first place.

If anyone has seen some insider info or some spec's please post them here.

Thanks guys

they've been delayed--taped out several times now, with much speculation about various reasons (low yields seems to be the main rumor). supposedly they're in production now (many articles about this out there) and are rumored to be launched late august. assuming ati follows nvidia with quantity available the day of the launch, expect to be able to get one in early September for close to msrp (slightly below or above) if that rumored launch date ends up being true.

lot's uncertainty :)

I saw an article about low yield concerns but nothing about production or spec's or anything else.......I'm getting antsy with this craptacular x700 :)

Vaporware.

ATI is droppin the ball lately. To think, it wasn't all that long ago when I thought ATI had Nvidia dead in the water, my how times have changed.

Nvidia needs to drop the hammer and knock ATI out while ATI is having "fab issues".

I know, I bought ATI cards for the last couple upgrades and now it looks as if I'm going to get a 7800GTX hmph.

All this delay is killing ATI....I heard their 4th quarter losses are huge this year. Maybe ATI is going the way of Matrox :)

They need to drop the bomb on Nvidia again like they did with the 9800, but this time actually have cards that they can ship lol

I can't say I'm against Nvidia because I have their cards as well in other pc's heh but I just liked how ATI was out performing them for a while there.

ATI didn't drop a bomb, so much as Nvidia blew themselves up while making a bomb to drop on ATI.. hehe

The GeForce FX series was the apex of Nvidia's complacency after being #1 for so long.

GeForce 6 and 7 series cards are all signs that Nvidia does not plan on getting raped by ATI again.

I wonder if all these fab issues ATI is having is due to it's efforts of keeping up with Nvidia without having Nvidia's resources??? <--- I dunno, just my conspiracy theory ;)

I would think that ATI could come up with something since they have been around so damn long. But then again they are a Canadian company :)

ATI is Canadian? I knew this X800XL was faulty.

If ATI hadn't screwed the X800 series launch then I would be saying they had something up their sleeve, but a 2nd launch in a row fuxored? They're just ahving problems and are gonna get a huge loss for 2005.
