After hearing it on the radio last week during a road trip, it popped suddenly into my head during dinner, and I can't think of the name. All I know is this:

It sounds quite old
Sung by an african-american man?
Features the phrase "things never change, like something something and rain" in there

That's honestly all that I've got. I tried google, no dice.

Appreciate it.

it's not the remake of that one tune is it? on the R&B stations? the sample is:

and then the rappers say "for real" or something?

My google search for songs consists of "two to three words" +anotherword +lyrics

Usually works.

That came up with :
Blue System Venice : In The Rain
Trick Pony : Rain

And a bunch that definately aren't African-american. Those two I don't know so maybe?
