Hi there,

I know you're going to laugh, but I need to know the name (and maybe a download location, if it's a freebie/abandonware) of a very old game.

Basically, it's two fixed guns shooting at each other, and you have to calculate the angle and velocity of the projectile, considering the terrain and wind speed.

It was the first game I ever played, in the late 70's, on a M-118 machine (kudos to those who know what that was)....

so, anyone? 🙂

Tank Wars was another Scorched Earth type game. I used to play both of those a lot back in my 286 days. 🙂

LOL, there are a ton of variants of that game out now, but I can't remember the name of the one I played either. 🙁

<reminisce>Ah... Scoarched Earth...</reminisce>

I loved that game. So many hours in HS, so many fond memories. 😉

There are thousands of games based around that scenario. Gorrilla on the PC and Howizter on the Apple IIe come to my mind first.

Hehe I didn't think so many people had played it...Scorched earth was the shiz. I remember the trick to penetrating enemy shields was blast the ground out from under them until they were in a crater then fill it with a napalm round.
