While moving my daewoo DVD player I noticed it had a fiber out connection. I looked at target and they had some fiber cables for $15. Anyone know what type of connector this is called? I am up to my armpits in fiber cables at work. The ones here have a SC connector. I am hoping I could possibly use this on the DVD player. I did not take a close enough look at the package at the store and wondering whether I should stop there on my way home. Of course the manual to the dvd or my home theater is long gone as well.

Google confirms its toslink. I am still searching as to whether the connector is the same.

Saulbadguy, what type of device did you connect?

Toslink is the name. SC and ST connectors would only be for fiber that is used in a network.
