i just placed a phone order at a flower shop (that i've never been to or heard of until today) to be delivered to my moms business and i supposedly ordered a dozen long, long, long, long stem roses with lots of fillers in a very elegant vase. i think that's pretty outrageous, but i guess it's my fault for placing the order the day before valentine's day :roll:
 
That flower person just made a crapload in profit...

They sell them for $15 or so at Costco, I think.

Edit: 1-800-FLOWERS has them for around $80 shipped tomorrow...call and save.
 
buying them at a costco and delivering them to her place of work is not an option for me. i work from 7am-4pm in beverly hills, and there's no way i could make it to glendale (where my mom's shop is located) on my lunch break taking the 405 or the 110. i could take them to her after work, but i'm trying to get her the "i'm special" feeling that she can enjoy while working 😛

and yes, my mom is my valentine's every year, just as well as your mothers should be yours 🙂
 
I didn't get her flowers, I got her first class tickets to Hawaii. I think that your price was preety close, though 😛

The most I ever spent was 75 bucks.
It was money well spent. I'm sure yours was, too.
 
that is ridiculous. I got flowers from the shop that has a huge sign that says 9.99 roses! fillers are a few bucks more, but when i went there yesterday there was a 1 taped in front of the price... those bastards! haha the price still wasnt bad though for this time of year
 
i buy my mom roses every year (at least until i can afford to buy her bigger and better things) and not just on the 14th of february. now that doesn't mean i don't buy flowers for anyone else, it's just that i've never spent that much on flowers, even for my past gf's.
 
Valentine's Day... the day when those ladies that scored big get to lord it over the rest of us gals.
