You can't win at roulette in the long run...

You missed that CSI episode where the guys engineered that device that predicted every role huh..

:D

There was something similiar that happened in real life. Someone kept track of the winning number for a few hours, and computed out what was most likely to win.

i saw a discovery channel (or something like that) documentary on a group that built a device that measured the ball velocity and gave a range of where the ball was likely to land. since you can bet after the ball has begun to spin, they made out pretty well.

Happened a couple of years ago in Europe - Gang cleared a couple of million.

Used a modified cell phone w/ laser beam to estimate where the ball would land based on velocity after a couple of rounds on the wheel. They would then bet at the last moment, covering 4-5 numbers.

cleared 200K the first night. Casino started watching them after the group refused comps.

The next night they were escorted out after clearing a large chunk of change. This was done in a couple of casinos in Monaco before they were IDed. Group was from Eastern Europe.

Perfectly legal but unacceptable to the casinos.
