nothing beats good german bier!!!
Oh sh1t! I forgot about my time in Munich.
I'm a junior in high school in Munich on our school's trip. Our last night there, we go to the Hofsbreau (sp?) House (largest beer hall in Germany) for dinner. To our suprise, we are all served dinner with a liter of fine German beer. This was my first experience drinking, really, so I had no clue how alcohol affected me and how much it would take.
Dinner was a nice half-chicken roast. I polished off my beer and those of the two girls who were sitting on either side of me since they didn't like the beer. That's right, 17 year old me drank 3 liters of German beer in ~2 hours. One of my friends did very similar. I have a hazy recollection of the entire night (I've never blacked out in my life). I remember having to hold on to the two girls because I couldn't walk by myself. We stopped at a McDonald's where they coaxed me into drinking water by convincing me it was beer (not too hard). It was there that I made some remarks about some Germans who were staring at me.
I finally made it back to the hotel where we were staying and to my room where I promptly projectile vomitted, though most of it made it into the toilet thankfully. I slipped on the tiles and must have fallen pretty hard, because one of my teacher chaperones (my then English teacher) knocked on the door and asked if everything was alright. I'm not sure if she knew I was drunk or not. I passed out.
The next day was hell because we were flying home and I was still hungover and occasionally puking. I also had vomitted hard enough to pop a blood vessel in my eye, which was now full of blood. Luckily, I started feeling much better right as we were getting ready to board the plane.
