whats the most 'stable' motherboard/cpu combination

I'd like to go with a DDR mainboard and an Athlon 1.3ghz, but I think I read the chipsets aren't 'mature', whatever that means.

I'll consider a PC133 board, or a Pentium 4 system, if it makes a difference.

hmm,,, many DDR boards are stable.. but a good combo for SDR ram would be.. ANd Epox, or And IWILL board.. check...

I'd suggest the EPoX EP-8K7A or the MSI K7 Master.

the epox 8K7A is a very stable ddr board...i think that you would be ok to go with ddr...most of the kinks are already worked out
