I have a compressor, but I don't care to use it. My harbor freight electric one couldn't break loose my lug nuts

I have the Craftsman C3 impact wrench ($100) and it works well so long as you have a fully charged battery. It takes off lugnuts easy and worked on all but one bolt for a control arm replacement on my 05 Altima.
Just make sure you have 2 batteries for it, it eats them.

Didn't specify if you wanted corded or cordless. I've got a corded DeWalt that doesn't seem to have any trouble with axle nuts. That's a good enough test for me.

I love my kobalt cordless, use it for taking off lug nuts, axle nuts, just about anything else for that matter. , highly recommended.
