57" HDTV w/ service plan ~$3000.

Probably be spending close to the same for a pool table when I get a bigger place. :)

side note: Poolhall Junkies is a great flick. very much like Rounders (also great movie)

The last road bike I bought. Sad part is that now that I mountain bike I think that I've ridden it about 5 times in the last two years. :(

Let's see...4 8"x11" pieces of paper...First 2 cost around $30,000, next 1 cost about $15,000 actually cost plus ungodly opportunity cost, and the last one...well I'll get back to you soon on that...but at least another $15,000 plus opportunity cost that puts the 3rd piece of paper to shame.

This I don't get. Sure it kicks ass for a year or so, but then you upgrade again. I wait until things drop off the bleeding-edge-high-price shelf and then buy.

Of course, I spent about the same amount of money on a bicycle, but it won't need upgrades in a year. ;)
Yeah, yeah.............that's what we all say about our bicycles.........but in the end, there's ALYWAYS something else to buy for it, needed or not. I know, I'm in the same boat. Upgrade-itis is terrible.

$2700.00 laptop back in 1995. It was a pentium 90MHz with 8MB RAM and a 1 or 2 GB hard drive.

Well, we didn't have an engagement ring.
Two wedding bands with diamonds so small you can barely see them only cost us about $300.
And we got married in Vegas, so the wedding itself came to around $100 including the marriage license.
The plane tickets were only $200 for both of us and a couple hundred for the hotel and gambling.
All together, rings, wedding, and honeymoon were less than $1000.

And at the time, $1000 was a huge amount of money to us.

College Education: $65000
House and car are excluded.
Sectional Sofa: $1800. We bought this about a month ago and it's the most we've ever spent on furntiture.
