What's the most expensive thing you've ever bought for your mom?

What a nice gift... I sure hope she appreciates it.

My sister and I bought my mom some black pearl and diamond earings last year for her 60th birthday. Overstock.com saves the day.
 
not anything that extravagant because we cannot afford it now, but we did get her a really $$$ massage on vacation this past winter that she was greatful for.
She always said don't ever get her anything expensive.

The most expensive gift I ever got for my mom was two closet systems (like California Closets), one valued at ~$2000 and the other ~$500. I didn't pay for them though, I did some work for my old boss to get the material for free and then installed them myself.
 
That's a funny phrase "closet systems". I only wish I could say that I've given someone a "closet system". Teehee.

well, it is the basic model and I got it for $18.5K out the door with extended bumper to bumper warranty up to 6 years, 72K miles. The main thing I wanted to get her was an auto and cd player....that was the only things she asked for....

She's been driving my 13 year old nissan maxima and it's about to die...

the nicer models do come with the nice stuff like leather seats, sunroof and the nice wheels, but she really don't care for stuff like that so it's perfect for me to save some $$$ 😛

it still is a nice looking vehicle even without the nice alloy wheels 😛

ya, with the basic package, you only get 4 colors to pick from...

black - she didn't want it because any little spec of dusts will make the car look crappy
beige - didn't really go well with the interior color
Silver - looked strange with the black rear view mirrors

so, she went with phantom gray 😛
