What's the most expensive parking meter you've ever come across?

On our campus you get a whoppping 8 minutes for each quarter you put in..which comes out to about $2 for an hours parking.

My friend and I were discussing this the other day and we think it's got to be one of the most expensive meters you can find anywhere..anyone ever seen a more expensive one?

I probably spent over $100 in quarters during my time there.

There's a city-owned parking lot in NYC down by the courthouse that costs like $40 an hour to park there, that's FORTY DOLLARS. Takes credit cards. Also quarters, but you get like six seconds per quarter - it takes longer than that to put the quarters in.

I parked there once because I was late for a court hearing, couldn't find any place else to park. Worth the money, but YOW.

The expensive meters always detered me from driving to campus during regular hours. I would always wait until 8PM(?) just to avoid paying for parking.

bring a bag with you and put the bag over the parking meter and write "BROKEN" on it...

UC Davis... stupid thing takes like 2 bucks for 45 minutes.

$2.50 per hour at some places in Vancouver, and Victoria is $2.00 per hour at many places downtown. Many meters don't even take quaters, and the one that do likely to give you 5 min per quater if you uses quater.
