Had a child.

Unless someone has an answer such as "owned 100,000 shares of Enron stock" I'm pretty sure I've already answered this thread definitively.

The most painful thing I remember losing was my birthday balloon when I was in elementary school. It floated away towards the sky, and all I could do was watch it disappear into the distance... the balloon was worth fifty thousand dollars.

That I've ever done? I'm not sure you would have to ask some dude named Scott Whitehead (sp?).

While he was entertaining my then girlfriend (Colleen) me and a couple of friends applied paint stripper to his truck, wiped the paint off (most), removed his seats, steering wheel, dash, tires/rims, car alarm, and bed off of his Z71.

Lost? Nothing really.

I don't tend to lose things often, but my wife lost a family heirloom diamond ring (about $15K). Somehow she still blames me for that one :D

:Q

Well, probably when I took my dad's company Taurus for a joyride when I was 16...hit a Lexus sedan. About 7K damage all told, all covered by insurance.

Personally? Hmm...I had a trumpet stolen from me once...worth about 1K...but it didn't belong to me.

The worst thing is probably when I toasted my computer. Fried the mobo, RAM, vid card (9800 pro)

But I got the 9800 RMA'd, and was able to sell the mobo...turned out it was just the card that went kaput.

I don't know, I think if someone said 'I lost/busted my testicles' then that might trump 'had a child', too.

Monetary wise? Probably the 3 vehicles that I've totaled

Otherwise, I lost a good friend about 8 years ago - some other dumbass she knew had stolen a S&W 9mm from somebody's house, and was playing around when the thing went off. Bullet caught her somewhere betweent he shoulder and upper chest, and that was all she wrote :(

I accidently drug the end of my computer speaker wire across my carpet and burnt out the amp...the logitech z-560's, back when they were newer. warrenty was already out on them though, so I was out a set of speakers :(

but that's all I can think of right now...i'm sure I had to of done something else...dunno how much it cost, but I accidently hit a limo with a rock when I younger.. a good sized rock..I threw it at this other huge rock, and it bounced so high into the air, and a limo just happened to be passing when it came down..and hit right above the driver.

This is easy.

A real close friend of ours died in a motocycle accident and he was only 24.
Took us a long time to deal with the loss.

MOnetary.
I just had my Civic Si stolen.

Is really ironic too.
I paid cash for it and I never had full coverage for it for about 2 yrs.
Then I moved to Cali and got full coverage right before.
It was stolen within 3 weeks I was there.
My insurance covered it and then they dropped me.
I moved back to Fla and decided to only have liability.
Stolen right in front of my house.
I'd say its worth about $7-$8K.

Lost a $1000 Gucci watch given as a present. Pretty hush-hush about that. The cost of losing my sanity is starting to rack up too.
