What's the minimum speed of CPU (x GHz A64/Pentium) required for lagless playback of 1080P?

minimum 2.4 intel; optimal 3.0 intel

if not smooth, too many things to point out such as amount of RAM, other apps open, vidcard, native resolution, etc.
