OK, so I really don't know and don't wanna know what you're planning to do in your basement, but you should probably ask oldsmoboat, first.

He has a rather detailed manual on this sort of thing.

I saw a pic of a lady with no arms or legs and thought to myself, that's pretty intradasting, and I started to wonder what else she could have had removed before she died.

For example, you could minus the chesticle area and I guess she could get her stomach removed (like fat people do to lose weight.) Maybe only a single lung, or just one liver.

Like, what's the bare minimum needed to survive?

btw, your post reminds me of this guy

I curious about the pic the op was referring to. Knowing him, it's probably NSFW. Amputee porn?

You only need one kidney, and it's not difficult to live with just one, unless it's from a transplant. But even then, you just need to take some medicine and stay away from grapefruit.

Without sensory input the person will go crazy immediately, perhaps die of shock in a while. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sensory_deprivation
But I think cochlear implants, artificial eyes and other sensors (?) we can connect to nerves should be enough to avoid that.

So we are down to... brain, piece of pancreas, one kidney, piece of spine, ???

edit: LiuKangBakinPie, that is pretty awesome. Where from?
