What's the minimum age to donate blood?

I went to the RC site, but for some reason my browser won't bring it up.....i'm only 17, and i want to try and donate, but i'm not sure if i can if i'm not 18 yet. Besides that, i'm O+ and i geuss that's a rare type they need.....

I believe you can give blood with a parent/guardian's consent. At least that was the rule at a high school blood drive.
