What's the max memory per slot for this motherboard?

Back then, RAM was much more expensive, so 4 sticks of 256MB or 4 sticks of 512MB was a common thing to do.
I think you also have to install RAM in pairs, though I am not 100% sure on that.

Sure, no problem at all.

Just try to make sure the sticks are the same kind.

Then make sure you run memtest on it overnight, and you will be good to go. (If no errors)

BTW, since they don't sell that CPU anymore, (and it is REALLY hard to find DDR RAM), I sure hope you find some.

that link says DDR333 memory. the KT333 chipset supports 4 gigs, 1 gig per slot. but the 3 gig limit may be with 4 slots filled with 1 gig sticks the athlons on chip memory controller may not be able to drive them all in some configurations.

have you downloaded the manual from here?

says it will take four 1 gig sticks of DDR333.

WHoops. Yeah, I meant that. Still, DDR is pretty hard to find.
