What's the main diff between these 3 motherboards?

I think my dfi lanparty motherboard is dead so I'm looking for a new motherboard (amd athlon xp 3000+ )

http://www.chiefvalue.com/app/productli...100&submit=search&description=GA-7N400

I see that the 2nd motherboad has PATA raid (which is not really important to me)

My main requirements are stability and dual channel. I don't plan to overclock so it's not really a factor for me. Stability is more important to me. I was told that I should go with gigabyte but if anyone else has a different recommendation, I'm all years :)

TIA

UPDATE
Ahhh one bit of good news. I think my motherboard might still be under warranty. Anyone know what the warranty is for a DFI Lanparty NFII Ultra B motherboard? I bought it from newegg on april 30, 2004

UPDATE 2
3 years according to DFI :D

I guess I'll just use my gigabyte motherboard and sell the RMAed lanparty that i get back. I should be able to get most of my money back since I've never used any of the accessories that came with it :)

TIA

For an AXP, I would reccomend the Abit NF7-S (NOT the NF7-S2, they are VERY different boards). It has the same basic features of your current board. Another option if you do not want to have to re-install your OS would be the DFI Infinity - it is exactly the same as your current board except without all the UV stuff.

Meh.. I would go with the good ole ASUS A7N8X-E DELUXE. I have that board in another system and it is rock solid. And has soundstorm and all that junk. Although that is kind of old k7 stuff, i still think it is a bargain for what you can get for them.

unless your going for a dirt cheap refurb board, isnt it a good time to think upgrade?
I dont mean get a fx-55 but something like a cheap s754 + sempron 2800 will be noticably faster than your current system and you'll only be spending an extra $50 or so maybe less if you can sell your axp3000+

just a thought if you can afford it --- as the guy before said -- you'll have to reinistall the OS anyways if you dont get the dfi board again

btw forgot to mention that you wont be running dual channel if you get s754 but it doesn't matter , the system will be faster anyways
then their is the whole s939 thing if you want dual channel but $$$ may be a concern

Would that nf7 be this one?

I'd like to stay away from dfi now since this one died on me. I don't mind reinstalling my OS :)

I really can't afford an upgrade right now. I owe Uncle Sam $700 :(
I figured I'd get a board that I can use for awhile. I don't need all the bells and whistles like I had with this DFI lanparty. I hardly used any of the features to tell you the truth. My main concern now is stability and price. Features aren't a priority for me at this moment :)

Thanks everyone for all the comments btw :)

Oh forgot to mention, I have a SLK-800 cooler so it'll have to fit on the motherboard. :)

the non deluxe? You'd recommend it over the gigabyte?

It is a little bit pricier but if it's a lot better, than I'll get that one instead.

http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=240111 == $67 -- abit nfs7

my recommendation:
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-135-178&depa=1
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-138-247&depa=1 -- more overclocking potential :)
== $53 or $56

== $76 --- might not be a WHOLE lot faster than your amdxp3000 but at least its a newer socket -- spend an extra $10 for the next one up sempron 2800+

minus whatever you can sell your amdxp3000 for === how much you are going to be spending all up???

" Oh forgot to mention, I have a SLK-800 cooler so it'll have to fit on the motherboard."
you can sell that too.... personally I think you may be spending no more than $20 extra for the whole kit

i'm not from the US, so i'm not even sure if other retailers have lower prices.... I only know newegg and zipzoomfly :)
just my 2 cents

Hmm you've given me something to think about. Is the retail heatsink/fan good enough for this cpu? I'm not going to be overclocking.

yes - its also good enough if you're overclocking too -- you might hit 2.0ghz if you get the second motherboard i recommended --- the new semprons run very cool (0.09u process)
---
--- its going to cost you a little more effort too.... in buying the extra stuff and selling what not....

btw. what were you doing with a slk800 + dfi infinity if you weren't overclocking :p

I mean the A7N8X-E Deluxe. :)

Great board. Solid as a rock. Plus, more features than you could possibly use :D

Is the sound the main difference? Because I'm currently using a Sound Blaster 2 Audigy instead.
