What's the longest you have been with a company with no raise?

I am seriously thinking about leaving my current job because I have been with the same division for quite some time now with absolutely no raise. We have been told that there is no money in the budget for raises, but somehow upper level employees keep receiving new computers, more vacation time, etc.

I have received at least one raise every year I've been here. At most it's been 6%, unless it was a promotion.

This is the way it is supposed to be. Every year we receive a review by our manager(s) and raises are to be issued in August. I have had the reviews, but "there is no money in the budget for raises."

When I was a teenager working at Thriftway grocery store as a "courtesy clerk" (box boy).

I don't think I received a raise in 2-3 years, now in the "real world" I get a piddly raise every year.

Exactly.

Raise - Once a year (February) at least 5%. I usually get a rating of 9.5 out of 10 (perfect).

Promotion - Got a 12% raise.

The company I work for is the same... I've gotten two raises in the two years I've worked here. The first was for a $1.50 an hour raise which I had to ask for. The second was 50¢ an hour raise earlier this year..... 50¢ is a joke! I make roughly 60% of what someone who does the same work at another company makes. That is the reason, I'm trying to find another job. Pay sucks.... management doesn't know what they have until it leaves. :|

My last company I worked for 18mos with no raise. Then I finally get a review and they tried to give me the Wamu "standard 3%".

I gave 'em the standard DurocShark middle finger! :|

Same here and I think I got a 15 to 20% raise with my last promotion.

About 3 years but my commission schedule, car and expense account were much more important than my base pay.

when i worked at UCLA:

i started at 6.70/hr. you don't receive any raise at where i worked UNLESS you have worked a total of 1000 hours. i was a full time student working part time, the most we are allowed to work in a week is ... 20 hours.

i moved up to 6.83 when they raised the base pay for everyone. the following year it was 6.88 all around raise.

that year i was getting close to my 25 cent raise for working 1000 hours, BUT i got promoted to supervisor. woohoo 7.98 an hour. BUT the 1000 hours only counts in your current position, so, i lost my accumulated hours and an extra quarter per hour.

i nearly got up to 1000 hours again (worked about 40 hours/week in the summer when they don't care) and nearly 40 hours/week during the first few weeks of school when we were hiring and training new employees en masse.

later i'm told i'm to get another raise to 9.55/hr (highest i can max out at) but once again i lose my 25 cents. so ucla has taken 50 cents from my paycheck.

/end story

at my current job, i'll never get a raise. i think i do an awesome job; i don't think he'll have the money to give us ALL raises because we deserve it for the fvcktards we deal with daily.
