For me it's Avenged Sevenfold - Strength of the World.

9:14 of cheesy goodness. I also listen to it regularly; so far I've clocked over 100 listens.

Are you talking about live or CD?

From CD would probably be Shine On You Crazy Diamond, 26min 5sec.

Live would be Phish due to massime jam sessions, would have to check the length from my recordings at home, pretty sure near 34 minutes except it might have portions of other songs blended in before they return to the one they started with.

unless you count Armin Van Buuren State of Trance mixes ... 2 hours of non stoop music :p, but it's just a bunch of songs mixed together.

Kickarse song! Definately one of my favs on the new album - it's so epic.

The longest song I've ever listened to was by Dream Theater, called Octavarium. I think it was like 24 minutes long. Cool stuff.

I've been to concerts with songs >1 hour.

I've listened to recording of songs in teh 30 minute range. If the band can stay interesting for that long, they know what they're about.

Just about all Godspeed You! Black Emperor songs are 25 - 30 minutes ish. Then I got many, many songs from various groups that are between say the 10 - 15 minute mark.

I guess I'm getting owned in the length department. I've probably listened to longer songs but this one stands out the most, since I've listened to it so much.

Iron Maiden has a few 13 - 14 minute ones that are a good listen.

Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner and Hallowed by thy name, are both good.

Lambchops Play along - "This is the song that doesn't end. Yes it goes on and on my friend. Some people started singing it not knowing what it was. And they kep on singing it just because.. This is the song that doesn't end. Yes it goes on ....."

I never actually finished it.

is it 75 minutes of playing or like 10 minutes of playing and 65 minutes of silence and then like 15 seconds of something else? i hate when bands do that.

The only one I can remember is Iron Butterfly's. 17 minutes, 1 second (at least the version I have).

EDIT: The rest of the top five.
Purple Rain - 8:40
Call on me - 7:59
Clubbed to death - 7:30
Rollin (Urban Assault Vehicle) - 6:25
