The other day I was home at around 6, napping as I usually do after work when I hear my door bell ring. I answer the door and see a friend I hadn't seen in about 4 years, we were close in middle school but drifted apart in high school..and it was nice to see him.

However next to him was someone I'd sworn I'd never seen before. He asked me if I knew who he was and I was absolutely clueless. After racking my brain for a few seconds he finally told me his name, and it registered immediately.

He was one of my best friends back in 7th grade (8 years ago) but moved across the country the next year and I hadn't seen him since. He was once a small (5'4"ish) skinny-ass kid who was pale white, and really goofy/nerdy looking on top of it..and now he was a grown up 6' track runner with a dark tan and looked as if he could kick my ass.

I was actually scared when I answered the door as I thought I was going to get robbed or something 😱

It was a strange strange sensation..
 
I had a close friend who was a girl. I did not see her for a week and she went completely psycho on me. I didn't even see that coming. Needless to say I ended with her.

I haven't seen a few friends of mine for 23 years now. I talk to them and email a couple but vegas is a long way away...
