Hiked the Chilkoot Pass a few years ago. 33 miles, including a mile or two of climbing over boulders and a good 10,000 feet of up and down elevation changes.

as a kid there was a 'walkathon event' i tallied 35 miles. Later on finding those measurements suspect, i measured one 'lap' which they considered much longer than it was, and it ended up being probally about 19 miles.
i ran a bunch of it too, damn me as a youngin with a lot of energy.

I was pissed at my roommate once and went for a walk to blow off some steam. Unfortunately, I walked quite a while in one direction so by the time I wasn't pissed any longer, I still had to trudge my ass home. ~12mi. total. I was in no shape to do that and was sore for a few days. Man...I'm a blob.

15 miles late at night so i wouldnt get in trouble with my parents... Damn that sucked, but the concert was worth it.

Hiked about 80miles or so at philmont in New Mexico a few years back. I think the most we did in one day was about 25miles.

11 miles in flat Ohio ground.

A little over 9 miles over mountains while walking the Franconia Ridge trail in the White Mountains in NH.

Walked the distance of Manhattan from tip to tip once (~14 miles?) and hiked ~7 miles up to Nou Creus from Nuria and back in some lousy weather (that's in the Pyrenees). Looking at doing sections of the AT (Appalachian Trail) where 14 miles will likely seem like a stroll in comparison.

20 miles for the March of Dimes. I walk every year. For some reason, the distances go down every year. Last year it was only about 6 miles.
