What's the longest book you've finished?

you can't really tell how long a book is by the # of pages. order of the poenix is like 900 pages but the text is huge.

the longest book i read was the stand at 1200 pages and the text was small.

I've been wanting to pick up some Mailer for a couple of years now, but haven't gotten around to it. So is this the title you'd recommend for an introduction? I tend to latch on to authors once I get started (amis, cormac mccarthy, hemingway, rushdie).

I'll trust any man to recommend books who's screen name is Keith Talent.

I got through 75% of the first two books of Remembrance of Things Past. ....as pretentious as I can be in my choice of Literature, I nonetheless decided that I can live a happy life without giving a damn about Proust :p

Was Shogun that long? I don't remember - I read it over ten years ago and loved it.
