I have a 11.1" tx2 which i love for size and weight, but its slow. I need a faster alternative but prefer core 2 duo NOT Solo processor.

Is there a laptop out there thats either available or coming out soon that is ultraportable, light in weight, and has a core 2 duo processor?

Thanks

That is definitely not the lightest. The XPS M1210 is about 4lbs. The Lenovo X60 series is lighter as is the Latitude D420.

Technically, the X60 and D420 have Core Duo, not Core 2 Duo.

The M1210 starts at ~4.4lbs with a 6-cell battery and a combo drive.

You can get the X60 with a C2D, but you are right about the D420.

jpeyton: thanks for the heads up on the sz93

Im specifically looking for a core 2 duo laptop, as i already have a tx3 which is a bit slower than what i need, so will just keep that for a backup.

Any other laptops with a core 2 duo chip and a light weight?

Thanks
