There are more choices all the time of what manufacture/chipset/ etc. to choose, what are you using? Why did you choose it?

I have both ABIT Kr7A and the EPOX 8KHA+.

I love both boards for different reasons.

The Epox is very stable and easy to trouble shoot.

The Abit has many bells and whistles such as support for up to 8 devices, 4 GIGS of DDR RAM, and RAID,

Iwill XP333R - Can use my unlocked Athlon 1333 with a 166 MHz front side bus.

Biostar M7SXF - Runs my P4 1.7 GHz at 1.9 GHz and utilizes my PC2700 DDR memory for even more memory bandwidth.

I`ve the Epox 8KHA+,why? .. Great price and excellent stability plus it`s a good overclocking board which I will probably do in the future :).

I should also say I was going nForce but got tired of waiting for the first models to be released anyway I`m very happy I went Epox 8KHA+ :).

I have a leadtek 7350kda, I bought it because it has a lot of cool features(on board lan and a lot of oc features) and 3 slots for ddr ram.
At first I didn't like it, but with the newer bios it runs great, a very fast board thats stable.

I bought Abit KR7A/RAID because I thought it had the best combination of multiple IDE ports, BIOS flexibility and decent overclocking capabilities. I don't care about RAID or ATA133 features, but elimination of any master/slave configs with four IDE ports was important.

If not for the four IDE ports, I would probably have bought either Epox 8KHA+ or Shuttle AK31.

If I were making that decision now, I would buy the Shuttle AK35GTR for the same reasons I bought the KR7A - at a signifigantly lower price.

Hope this helps!

Iwill XP333-R. This thing is stable! Haven't had to tweak it, or do a BIOS update at all! No problems at all! The built-in sound is good too, but I think I like my Audigy better. :p I have to admit Iwill's previous boards didn't have a very good chipset, but this one is a lot better! Plus, supporting 333MHz PC2700 DDR, ATA 133, and the built-in RAID. I can't even try to find a reason to complain.

ECS K7VMA. Why? Because I needed a cheap Socket A motherboard at the time (last April) that had on-board video, and it fit the bill, but I'll be getting rid of it soon, and I'll be getting a MSi K7N420 Pro. And why? Because, It's basically a 4-way upgrade for me. I'll get a faster CPU because it oc's better, I'll get a faster mobo (DDR), I'll get a better video card (GF2 MX beats the pants off Savage4), and I'll get a new Sound Card (nForce APU, well, I can't think of a word to decribe how much better the nForce APU beats AC'97).

Epox 8kHA+ w/ KT266A chipset. I did have the ASUS A7V133 but bought some DDR memory back when they were $30 for 256 MB and they were collecting dust for about a month or so, then my brother was going to upgrade his computer to DDR since he did the same thing with me on the memory, I couldn't resist going to DDR so bought it....
