What's the latest and best set of programs for security today?

I run Malwarebytes and Avast regularly. Clean as a whistle.

But I discovered these two many years ago. Are these two still one of the top defense for home PC?

Let me know if there are better programs today.

You could try to hunt down more such reviews and try to make some sort of an educated guess.

Personally I get the full norton suite with my comcast and have been very happy with it.

Most of the mainstream AV's are fairly equal all things considered, so that personal preference. Aside from that, Malwarebytes is still the best secondary protection. I would suggest buying it to enable real time protection. Keep an eye on slickdeals as it goes on sale every so often.
