I rememember that there was a Clarisworks 4 for W95, then they got bought out buy Apple & the next Mac vesion was changed names from Clarisworks 5 to Appleworks 5, but I think the W98 version was still called Clarisworks 5. Was there ever a windows version of Applworks 6 realeased.

The reason why I need to know is that I'm building a computer for someone & he wants the latest verion of Clarisworks loaded. It's what he likes.

I agreed, thinking that the W98 port was now freeware, because I remember seeing an old magazine CD lying arround with Clarisworks on it. But now I can't find the CD. Bloody typical

Is it avaliable for download somewhere, its not on Cnet, or the Apple or Filemaker websites.

Thanks

I did a search on Google and saw references to a Clarisworks 5 for Windows but no 6. I also found a couple of sites that I'm not sure what they are or if you want to check them out. What do you make of these?

site 1

site 2

The only review sites I see for it lists it for about $80.

Thanks very much for your help.

I found a couple of websites that seem to specialise in old software (either that or they havent updated their catalogues) that want about US$40 for CW 5.02 (W9X).

Looks like I'm going to have to ring the bloke up & see if the computer is going to be used for business or personal use.

If it's for personal use, I'll see if I can download CW from a 'warez' or 'filez' site. If its for business use I'll tell him it will either cost US$40 extra; or I can load up one of those old Novel PerfectWorks CDs that use to come bundled with S3 'ExpertColor VGA cards a few years ago; or I can load the opensource StarOffice on his computer.
