Sacred Games by Vikram Chandra. He wrote one of my favourite books (Red Earth and Pouring Rain) so I figured I'd check this out. I doubt it will be anywhere near as epic, but hopefully still enjoyable.

Cryptonomicon by Neal Stevenson. I got about 200 pages in and got stuck. Combination of being sidetracked by other stuff and the plot developing so slowly in the book.

The Wind Up Bird Chronicle bu Haruki Murakami. I already owned a copy but thought I lost it, so I bought another one. Of course I found the old copy a few days after buying the new one.

Sweet, hope you like it. I haven't cracked my copy yet. The other book of his I mentioned is absolutely epic, so you may want to give it a shot if you like his writing style.

I picked up an American History book (to 1877) yesterday at the school's "Yard Sale" of out-dated textbooks. For $.99 I figured it would be a decent book for use while on "the throne."
