What's the highest overclock on a 128MB Ti4200?

I just upgraded to a Ti4200 last night and by the end of the night, with stock cooling, I was at 320/690! The core was as high as it will go, but the RAM was maxed out on Coolbits. Not only that, but the RAM was still cool to the touch!

After getting those scores, I put on an Iceberq 4 Pro and 4 Tweakmonster BGA sinks. I'll put on the other Tweakmonster sinks tonight, and I'll install Powerstrip. I really want to get the core to 335, but that may be a pipe dream.

I'm curious as to how many people's cards OC higher than mine and what kind of cooling they use.

Sorry, I forgot that part. It's this ASUS card from Newegg.

May I also say that it's amazing to see someone that joined after me that has more posts than me. I post pretty frequently, so it's hard to imagine someone schooling me in post count that joined two months after me.

Jeff7181---Asus V8420S (GeForce4 Ti4200 @ 325/650)

I think he managed to clocked it even higher than the one shown here.

I've seen him in a couple of threads. He got his to 335/655. He's got me by 15MHz on the core, but I got him by 35MHz on the RAM. Percentagewise, he's 4.7% higher on the core and I'm 5.3% on the RAM.

I'll bet someone's got a similar core frequency with a higher RAM frequency.

Wait 'til I install Powerstrip tonight!

I found a database of all GF4 Ti4200's, and I'm easily in the top 1 or 2%. That's awesome because I usually NEVER get good overclocks.

haha! My ram goes to 720-730 no problem without any cooling or even any airflow remotely around it, but it's a 4600, so sorry if I got your hopes up.

No, as soon as I read that I assumed it was a 4600. It makes me feel good to know that my card is OC'ing nearly as far as a card that costs nearly twice as much!

I ran my RAM at 700 for a few minutes of 3DMark2001... but the tearing is horrible... even at 660 I get some tearing. I doubt heatsinks will help either cause tearing isn't really due to heat, it just means the RAM is at it's limits.

Upgrade to the 44.03 detonators. With cool-bits it should let you go over 1GHz on the memory speeds.
