whats the highest output you can draw from a 3pin header?

i want to attach a Delta Black Label to my future MSI KT7 Pro2A, but i don't want to fry the header. i just want to watch the rpm to make sure if it fails my system will shut down. anyone have the specs? thanks 🙂
 
Deltas have been known to burn out headers,but you can still connect the sensor wire and get the power elsewhere.
 
Dunno about your board, I know the KT7's have 4 watt headers.
I don't think just hooking up the rpm sensor wire will work either.
 
Totally dependant on the Motherboard. The newer Asus models are also using 4 watt headers...but you don't have one of those, I'd check the manual or email the tech support department.
