What's the future of Intel socket after LGA775?

AMD has made it plainly clear that AM2/AM2+ are just temporary until they move over to AM3. I'm wondering if Intel has said as much about LGA775. It seems LGA775 has been around long enough (like Socket A back in the day) to warrant some type of change?

intel is going to CSI bus with nehalem in late 2008 and more like early 2009
