Went to school with a Richard Pecker. How can anyone with that last name do that to their child?

I forget the exact spelling, but in junior high school we had a teacher named Piks Butt, she was also a lesbian. Needless to say, she received many crank phone calls.

Wow...

Had N. Central FL surfer in the late 80's Mike Hunt. I did the beach announces to call every to their heats. ;)

Names I have seen

Souix Mee in HI
Anita Beer in CA
Warren Pease in GA (that one is a long story)

Dr. Paine shared an office with one of my classmates.

My dad had a friend at Princeton name Harry Wong.

And for stores, nothing beats the Korean grocery in Marietta, GA... Dong Bang. They almost always have the coolest hand hoe for gardening. I usually buy 5-6 every 3 years to give away as gifts.

There was a guy who worked at a competing store named Dick Headman. If that was my name I would INSIST people call me Richard or I'd use my middle name. But he used Dick Headman right on his busniess card.

When I was a kid the dentist who shared the office with my dentist was Dr. Payne.

-A logger my dad used to work with was named Corky Sapp.

-My dad's nickname, middle name, and last name are all brands of beer. My grandparents did not do this on purpose. His nickname as a young kid was "Buddy" and it was shortened to Bud when he got older, and he goes by it. Ironically, he has all of maybe three beers a year.

-This isn't a funny spelling, but rather a cute pronunciation story. My mom knew a couple who had moved from somewhere in Asia (I think China) and had strong accents. Someone had told them that to fit in, they should change their names to typical "American" names, so they chose Lucy and Larry but called themselves "Rucy and Rarry". When they had a baby, they named him Vincent, but couldn't pronounce Vs either, so they called him "Wincent".

-High school principal (or vice principal?) in the next town over: Dick Johnson. You can imagine that went over well with teenagers.

I used to work for a Robert DeCock, I called him Bob only once.... Oddly enough he used to be a Catholic priest.

This does bring up an interesting story my Dad told me over the holidays. Shortly after I was born my mother and father were in the hospital room and there was a lady who had also just given birth. So my dad asks what she had, shes says "oh I had a little girl", and dad is like "oh that's nice did you decide on a name?" to which she says "Well the hospital actually named her for me".

Dad thinks about this for a few moments and says " oh really I didn't know they could do that" and she says "yes they gave them a proud african name, Fehmahley". So dad congradulates her and later they go to look in on the nursery. The place where the babies sit and wait for the mother to recover, they have little labels with name, sex, blood type ect. Right next to me the childs ID read the following:

Name:
Sex: Female

I wonder how little Female is doing today....

Oh...almost forgot. The name of the Dr. that did my vasectomy:

Dr. Richard Tapper.

Not kidding-- Dick Tapper is a vasectomy specialist in NW Ohio (Google him if you doubt me :) ).
