16-20 beers per day should do the trick.

Betty Botter bought some butter,

But, she said, the butter's bitter.

If I put it in my batter,

It will make my batter bitter.

But a bit of better butter

Is sure to make my batter better.

So she bought a bit of butter

Better than her bitter butter,

And she put it in her batter

And the batter was not bitter.

So 'twas better Betty Botter

Bought a bit of better butter.

15-20 times your weight is what I've heard.

So if you're going to go on the high end, that's about 2700 calories.

honestly more than one gram of protien per pound you are in weight a day will just give you often visits to the little boys room unless you are doing some thing to need that.. honstly to gain weight you need to do things that make you muscles grow IE work out almost to the point of passing out like once a week. or at least that is what we do in the army one hour of PT a day and if your not pukeing or almost ready to pass out your not trying hard enough.. give that a try of a month and see what happends?

First, find an estimate for your BMR:

link

Make sure to follow the link labeled "Daily Calorie Needs" to get a slightly more refined estimate based on activity.

Once you have that, shoot for that many calories each day. Weigh yourself first thing each morning. If after the end of the first week you have not gained a pound, add 200-300 calories to your daily total and eat that much for the next week. Continue to track your weight each morning. If you still haven't gained a pound after the second week, add another 200-300 to your daily total for the 3rd week. Repeat this process until you are consistently gaining about 1 lb./week, then just hold it at that level.

A good starting point for macros are 40% carbs, 40% protein, and 20% healthy fats.

You can track everything you eat here:

Fitday

I assume you are following a good weightlifting program.

Any other questions, PM me or see the link in my sig.

McDonalds = fat ass

Dude,
your 135 pounds and 6' tall?
Seriously that sounds painful.
Years ago I was very ill and without writting an entire story about it, I went from 225 very fit pounds to 134 in only 6 weeks. I am 6'3" and could not even walk, bones hurt and sitting upright was near impossible due to my spine protruding. Being that thin is just painful.

135 for a six footer is beyond skinny. A careful diet with lots of good fat, high amounts of fiber and protein, and a little physical would be the best.

I was 5'11" 140 once. (read: my senior year in high school.)

I picked up 25-30lbs in my first semester of college alone.

lol I was 6' 137 lbs when I graduated from high school. Now I'm 6'1" 170 lbs hoping to get up to about 190 in time. It's been a long journey.

Yeah, I need to gain some weight too. I'm not quite that that thin, more like 150 and 6ft tall, but I am still pretty thin, people usually think I wwight 135-140 looking at me. But the whole eat more thing just doesn't cut it. I just got a bunch of snack food last week, and this week I've been eating about 3000 calories a week in snack food in addition to the prolly 2000 I get from normal meals and I don't gain any weight. So, for some people if you want to gain weigth then muscle is the only way to add it.

EDIT: just to further the point, my dad was 135 lbs and 6-2 when he graduated from college, so genetics can screw you over on that. But also, being that thin doesn't nescecarrily mean you are unhealthy or anything, if your frame is jsut built that way then it can be fine.

Better than the other way around though, eh?
