black cauldren is great! I found a site w/a working d/l of it the other day

I played that game so much, dled it recently also, finished it in a half hour. When I was little i would play it for hours and hours

Anybody notice that the peasents quest game on homestarrunner is pretty much a copy of the black cauldron?

It was either Mario Brothers 2 for the NES or some MS-DOS golfing game made by Acclaim.

Some platform game on an Amstrad CPC (don't remember the name), closely followed by Sim City on an Amiga 500.

3/4 of the posts are listing things like Atari, early Nintendo, 'Box-Station' games or Arcades, not PC playable games.

First one I played in a pure PC envirnoment was the Leisure Suit Larry I - still have it on the old 5.5 flat cardboard protected floppys - it was around 1987.

It was a completely text based version of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy." By Infogames IIRC... Long time ago... early '80's.

I think it was a mouse game on an IIe in grade school. I'm forgetting the name but it was a little triangle that you would type coordinates into and it would draw lines or figures for you. Baby steps into basic.

Too hard to remember. Asteroids and Battle Tank along with Centipede were some of the ones I remember. Also, Lemmings on a floppy. Plus Treehouse and Playhouse, which also came on floppies. Those were the days.
