Yeah, but not from me.

Personally I got clocked at 206 in a 30 (that is mph). I was in my McClaren F1. Cop let me off with a warning.

If that's true, you should of been arrested.

I got paced by a cop at 125 and pulling away from him. It was on a long stretch of freeway that we were the only two cars on the road. Long story, but the cop thought he was hilarious screwing with me and my radar detector, and came up to my car laughing. Gave me a ticket for 65 in a 55 and said keep the speed down. Only time that I got a ticket but wasn't mad.......

Fastest I've been pulled over for was 40 in a 25, let off with a warning.

Fastest I can remember, and didn't get pulled over for, was 95 in a 75.

91 in a 70. I was trying to hit the governor (supposed to be somewhere around 140 MPH) on an empty stretch of tolled highway and I chickened out around 130 MPH. I slowed down coming around a bend and the cop clocked me while driving real slow on the shoulder in the opposite direction and then made a sudden u-turn in the median to pull me over. Got thrown out in court after paying a lawyer $150 and $230 in court costs, I swear to God, Pasco County only exists as 1. a haven for trailer park folk and 2. a fucking speeding trap. My dad got pulled over for some bullshit like 50 in a 45 right after the speed limit changed from 55 to 45 and he was slowing down.

got pulled over for 80kms in a 50km zone, but lowered it 60km when I told him I was rushing to an exam. Fastest I have even gone was 245km in a 100km zone.

Never pulled over. I don't make it a habit to speed, although it is much easier to with my current car. My old one would feel like it would shake apart any more than 70. There are a couple times though that I deserved a ticket, all within the last 6 months (the time I've had my camaro)

127 in a 55. Caught by a helicopter on I95.

Was able to get out of it due to the cop being a member at the "Bally's" (scandinavian at the time) I was a regular at when I was a teenager.

Apparently he was banging half the hotties there and when they got word he gave me a ticket his love life went down the crapper and no one would talk to him out of the guys.

He took a big hit and just skipped out of court. He had A LOT of people get off that day and the judge was pissed.

Now a days it doesn't matter if the cop doesn't show, they still credit his 'testimony' which I think is BS.

The road was not full at the time and this was a stretch with no exits / on ramps.

Fastest I ever went, and got ticketed for speeding (tho not for as fast as I was going) was back in 86, driving across the San Rafael bridge, from Point Richmond toward San Rafael. It was half past midnight on a Sunday morning, the highway was EMPTY......or so I thought! I paid the toll to cross the bridge, and smoothly accelerated from the toll booth area. For whatever reason, I decided after maybe 15 seconds that I needed to punch the accelerator (chalk it up to being 25 and driving a sports car).
For those that have never been on the San Rafael bridge, it's shaped like a stretched out upside down W, with two peaks for shipping to go underneath the bridge. I kept the car floored all the way up the first rise, over the top, and down the first decline, when I let off the gas completely. I coasted up the 2nd (short) rise, and as I hit the top, the speedometer finally came off the peg (my Camaro had an 85 mph speedometer, with a trip odometer, the reset for which kept the needle from going anywhere past it.....I figure the trip odometer reset was ~100mph). I figure I was probably going between 110 and 120 at one point, but have no way to prove it with the speedo.
As I was coming down the 2nd decline (coincidentally, right toward the exit for the San Quentin prison!!), close to the bottom, a set of bright headlights comes flying over the top of the bridge behind me. Believe me, I'd kept an eye in my rear view mirrors, and there'd been no headlights showing, so I'm betting that CHP car was running without 'em. Right after he came over the top of the rise, probably as he noticed I'd slowed down, he flipped on his red blinky light to pull me over. I made certain to pull over AFTER the prison exit!!

When he came up to my car, he first asked "Where's the fire??" (don't ya hate smartass cops?), to which I replied, "Fire??" (yeah, I know.....witty!! ). He mumbled something about me being in a hurry, there must have been a fire, to which I pretty much gave him a whatever look.
He then asked me if I knew why he'd pulled me over, and I said no......he said it's because I'd been speeding while crossing the bridge (a 55mph zone at that time). He then asked me if I knew how fast I'd been going?? Yeah........dumb question lesson from a Chippy!

I responded (since I knew I was getting a ticket anyways, "The more important question is, do YOU know how fast I was going???" He then explained that they'd clocked me with their speedometer all the way up to 70, and knew I was going much faster than that, but couldn't write me a ticket for more than that. When the cop got back to my car with the ticket for me to sign, he'd written it as a 70+ in a 55 zone! Yeah, okay. I figure he thought I'd be less inclined to fight the ticket with that one there. No biggy, think the fine was ~$150 or so. Well worth it for the speed I got up to! :D

1- Chased and speed matched by an off duty officer (in his private car ) doing 87 in a 35 country side road in the middle of no where Ohio.
2- Off duty officer called on duty officer via CB and pin pointed my location...
3- 1 minute later....I.detected the on duty officer on my radar detector, had just enough time to slow down to a kind of OK 44 / 35 while the on duty officer was coming the opposite way towards me.
4- On duty officer U-turned chased me and stopped me, told me I was going 85 in a 35, I didn't deny it nor did I confirm it I just shook my head and said in awe "Really?"
5- He asked for my driver's license (as I was going going to Soccer practice I didn't bother get my wallet) I didn't have it on me...
6- He checked my plates # on his computer and told me that since I have a clean record he was not about to ticket me for a 45 in a 35 on a road near no where that matters but I better be careful...I said gotcha and I was on my way.

Moral is, had I confirmed it to him that I was going 85 he would have raped me with a ticket...either that or with his tazer for the outrageousness of the offense...which was pretty outrageous I must say.

My friends at the soccer field could barely believe me, but I had just walked away from a one night in jail without even a traffic warning.....God was watching over me that afternoon for sure......I guess the officer didn't bother much because it was a country road but jeez did I feel his urge to slam me with a gigantic ticket...:p

Got clocked at 96mph in a 55mph zone. The cop was surprisingly nice about it being on July 4th. He must've gotten his quota that day. He basically gave me a ticket for 74mph so he won't have to book me for reckless driving (20mph over limit) and said for me to just pay it and don't try to show up in court for it or he'll change it then. I paid the $175 ticket. Wasn't worth taking the chance as it was a 3 hrs drive from where I lived at the time anyway.

I went 72 in a 65 a few weeks ago!

Except I thought my car was going to implode, and slowed down to 60. Going fast in a 20 year old mini-van is scarier than hell.

75 in a 65, and I got a ticket.

I have no doubt I've been clocked going faster than that, but I didn't get pulled over or get a ticket.

I haven't been above 80 since then (East of Seattle the speed limit on I-90 is 70mph).

Fastest ever, 140 mph and still pulling hard on a track.

I gotta ask: where does the RCMP make traffic stops? Do you mean the OPP or some other provincial police force? thanks

Speeds in excess of 125 in a 55.
I was on my motorcycle and I was arrested.
Cop ripped my helmet off my head and threatened to kick my ass.
$200 fine.
This was 1982.

Western canada doesn't have provincial forces like the OPP. RCMP takes care of all rural stuff... from violent crime to traffic violations.

I'm in no way proud of it, but I got pulled over for 77 in a 40. I lucked out and received a verbal warning. That was 7 years ago and I still remember that night.
