Wondering, whats the fastest that you have ever been pulled over for? A XX(X) in a XX and a brief description of what happened.

My story:

91 in a 55, a whopping 36 over. Cop was pissed as hell, I was in a rush (obviously) as my uncle was about to die any second. Was traveling from Lexington KY to a hospital in Northern Kentucky. I told the cop the story of why I was going so fast, he called the hospital, verified my story, gave me back my license and insurance and said 'get the hell out of here, but at a more reasonable pace, would ya?' and that was it.

Never did THAT again...

116 in a 55.

Glad he got me when I did as I was speeding up lol. He did let me go as I was late for work so pretty cool he didnt tase me or anyting. I did end up having to give up my driving for a bit but learned my lesson and sold the mustang to pay the lawyer. Only cost 1k in fines, lawyer and renewing the DL.

My mom got popped for 90-something in a 60/65 while keeping pace with semis travelling through VA. They picked her because she drives a sports car. She also paced a cop once in WV, 118 in a 65, I was with her that time.

~160 in a 55. Was testing my top end on a JacksonRacing upgrade to my 5g, saw some lights pop up from the shoulder, so I pulled over in a hurry and turned my hazards on, but the cop blew by me a minute or so later at a ridiculous speed. I guess by the time he got up to speed, he couldn't tell that I was the car that just passed him. Ah well.

I got pulled over in The-Middle-of-Nowhere, TX, moving almost 120 on the interstate. It was the middle of a very clear night, about 3 am, on a very flat, very straight stretch of road.

The only reason I wasn't arrested is my passenger had just gotten out of the marines, and happened to have come from the same unit the State Trooper had been a part of eyars before.

I got away with nothing more than a serious finger-waggling and an order that my passenger drive. I shoulda gone to the pokey for a night - sometimes that's the best thing for a 22-year-old to remind him of his mortality. I got the message anyway and while I still speed, it's usually no more than 10 over.

A cop told me I was being pulled over for doing 45 in a 25mph zone... but I told him that he was flat out lying and I knew I was going under 30mph.
(I know the area extremely well and there are a total of 5 speed bumps with each at about 125ft throughout the stretch of the road.) He most likely pulled me over because he thought I was in that area to purchase weed or something..

Anyhow.. he let me off without a ticket and told me if he saw me again that night he'd ticket me lol..

Most i've ever gotten nailed for is 86 in a 55. I drove by a cop in new york on the interstate going 106 in a 55. To this day I have no idea why he didn't pull me over. Maybe he looked down for just a second as I blew by and he didn't see me?

yeah you got lucky. the NY troopers are real hard asses. if he pulled you over there is virtually no negotiating or getting away with a warning with them unless you got serious connections.

He was probably asleep.

I've done like 125mph going down to VA on the Turnpike in NJ and passed by couple cops hiding behind the overpass and they never came after me :)
**this was at around 3-4am when there were only a couple cars on the road**

$1,500 and a lawyer and 1 point later I now try not to break 80.

There were some pretty serious consequences that I avoided and I learned my lesson

sadly, 98 in my 94 Dodge Shadow coupe....in a 50 zone. Not sure how this worked out...as he was tailing me for 4 miles or so. It was pitch black in the rural areas, weaving through roads and such. the guy behind me was riding my ass pretty bad, and it ended up being a copper. I was in my slippers...I got away with no ticket! lucky me

112 in a 35 in the on coming lane of traffic, I was young and dumb.

I was racing my brother and it was a somewhat quiet road that ran along a private airport.

I had a few friends in my car also.

When he pulled us both over I thought for sure I'd get arrested but then a funny thing happened. He was yelling at the top of his lungs and shaking like he was about to shit himself and my stupid friend gets out of my car, walks over to my brothers car and tries to pass his pack of cigs into my brothers car through his slightly opened window, the cop sees him do this and freaks the hell out and pulls his gun, not knowing whats going on. He yells at my dumbass friend to freeze and is shouting WTF are you doing!!?!?!??!???!!? My friend is all pale in the face seeing a gun drawn and studders out that he was afraid of getting in trouble for having a pack of cigs and being under 18 (my brother was over 18). The cops said something like "are you f'ing stupid!!?!?!!?" and then said "I could have killed you and all because you didn't want to get caught with cigs!??!!?" and said how he didn't give a shit about the cigs. He was sooo worked up and pissed off and hyped up from pulling his gun that he yells at us to "just get the fvck out of here!!!" so we left.

Had my dumbass friend not done such a stupid thing, chances are my brother and I would have been arrested and would have been faced with some hefty fines and possible loss of our licenses.

This makes me wonder what my truck would do. I don't have any strips in town to test at.

What truck do you have? (engine, transmission, year, cab, bed length...)

A 4.7+5 speed 2WD gen 3 Dakota like mine does what I listed, the same in a late model Ram does 16.8, gen 3 R/T Dakota 15.2-15.4, Hemi Ram QC 15.65. QC SRT10 Ram mid to upper 14's. (why they made that I have no idea...)

35 in a 25, I shit you not. Luckily, I was able to defeat it in court pretty easily. Technically, the reason I got off was because I was denied due process by being forced to go to court with no diversion option. Realistically, the DA was pretty impressed with my defense and knew she had a 0% chance of winning.

Never been pulled over on the highway. Lots of other tickets in town when I was a teen though.

But the fastest I've gone is probably about 140 mph on the freeway. My speedometer only went to 120 mph in my 69 camaro so I had to guess past that. That was a rare occasion. And I only ever did speeding in rare bursts to see how the car was performing and to get it out of my system. That freeway time was for a very small amount of seconds. The people in my car kept egging me on to do see how fast it would go.

I'm very cautious now adays. It's really dumb to speed. Especially anyone who does it for long stretches.
