Asus A7V was the other board... But at those days AnandTech was impressed by Abit... ASUS always used to be more stable and everything... But Abit surprised...
But stability wasn't that good (fall 2000) like you would expect it to be today...
The K7 Pro is faster than the KA7. I should know owned both boards. I actually owned the KA7 100. You can overclock more on the KA7 100 or regular KA7 because of the ability to change cache speed which worked perfect. But for just sheer speed the K7 Pro is faster and pretty darn stable. All the memory tweaks you can use . The K7 Pro can also run slot A Tbirds. If you go K7 Pro just make sure to get one with Stepping 6 superbypass capable. I liked it so much I sold the KA7 100 and kept the K7 Pro, enuff said.
