what's the fastest readyboost drive?

i heard the OCZ rally 2 is very fast. check newegg and read the reviews there. some people post how fast they run

We need to see some benchmarks of size vs. speed for flash drives with ready boost. Will a 2GB drive that is 75% as fast as a 1GB perform better or worse? If we were talking about pc memory, more is almost always better, but one must wonder if the same can be said about ready boost.

that and i'd like to see the impact of a slower readyboost drive vs a faster drive.

could anyone with corsair turboflash benchmark it with vista?

Vista readyboost requires all the memory on the device have that fast time, not just a certain section, and it will test this to make sure. I say this because a lot of these usb memories aren't uniformly high speed. I dont know if they are using a cache and claiming the cache memory speed or just using faster memory at certain addresses.

thanks for the info.

turboflash is suppossed to be among the fastest. now i'm wondering if turboflash isnt' really that fast or the guy listing Voyager at 6.5MB/13.0MB, was listing something other than vista benchmark...

It's quite possible that he was using a different benchmark because the Vista ReadyBoost "Performance Utility" doesn't list Write speeds, only Read speeds.

Sandisk's 2GB Cruzer Titanium is supposed to be the fastest USB drive around!

Staples has it for $40 this week!
