What's the fastest processor does the Intel 855GM chipset support?

I have an Acer TravelMate 290LMi and wanted to know the fastest Pentium M I can put into this laptop.

Ask Acer or look in your manual, it should say. Just because the chipset supports a certain speed processor doesnt mean the laptop does. Laptops are built to meet very strict power consumption and cooling specs and therefore many dont support faster processors in bios. Theoretically it should support any processor with a 400mhz FSB though.
