120mph and 222hp? I've got 124mph (measured on GPS, speedo was pegged at about 135 - ran out of car-free road, was still wanting more) out of my 1834cc 114HP car!

I passed a semi in my old Saab Turbo at over 145, that was where it pegged. Thank Buddha for long straight roads here on the high plains of TX.

130mph on I5 south towards LA from SF
it was at 3am almost 20 years ago.

it was me, and two other cars. we were playing leap frog, and i was last in line when i saw a forth car coming up on us like we were standing still. as you might have guessed, it was the CHiP. he rolled by us and just flashed his yellows as he burned on down the highway.

phew

You mean because there are too many cops or the roads are poorly maintained?

actually, too much gd traffic. unless you want to drive at 5am in the morning but then the cops will pull you over. either way it's no fun :|

The strip on rt 1-9 is my fav; topped out @ 117 mph 🙂

122 MPH in my old mans 1994 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi... hell, that was almost 10 years ago. I think there's a speed regulator built into the computer, but that's the fastest I could get it.

187mph

I roadraced motorcycles for years (1997-2002), the fastest speed I've ever seen on my speedo was 187mph when drafting during Formula USA practice at Portland International Raceway in 2001 on a 2001 GSXR600 racebike that made 118hp (at wheel) and weighed 365lbs with 1/2 gallon of fuel.

I've also had three 100+ mph crashes with the fastest being over 140mph when I got collected by three crashing bikes behind me coming into turn 1 at Spokane raceway during the start of 600 superbike. Only a broken rib from that little bit of fun. The other was about 120mph at Portland when duking it out for 3rd place in 600 supersport and an errant outside pass attempt by the other racer had him clip my front brake lever and flipped me and my bike at about 120mph. Good fun. 3rd degree AC seperation of the shoulder from that little excursion.

I regularly go 85-90 in my s10 and I've taken it to about 96 before the computer shuts it off, but it could go up to 120 I'm sure. Although at 95 it doesnt feel stable at all and scared me. But I hit 96 everyday during the summer for a while on a stretch of highway when people werent around but its not smart. I enjoy beating the cops though with my escort passport 8500 x50 and zr3 laser shifter.

Was with my boss, driving through the Mojave Desert in his caddilac(?) at 145.
Mildly interesting.

On my own, 105 in a Geo Tracker.
Absolute terror.

Sorry Im throwing a major Bullshirt flag on this one..
As I have competetively raced 600 class for 5 years in CMRA/CCS
we have radar guns at the track and I have never ever seen a 600 do 187...
total horsehit.. thats the lands of the modified 1000+s
sorry man but spew that crap somewhere else as no 600 even heavily modified which would BE ILLEGAL to race in a 600 class can get that fast..
even the Pro modified 600s arnt that fast..
look up some real world stats from world superbike before you go tryign to Lie about stuff..
