What's the fastest mile you've ever run?

Fastest I ran was 5:12 my senior year training for the state wrestling meet in California. 30 seconds before I ran that mile, I had just completed a 5:45 mile. I was in good shape then, damn good shape.

In basic training I ran an 11:32 as my final 2-mile run. I have the original PT card signed by my drill sergeant for that one. That was after 8 weeks of training, imagine if I kept training. I could have broke 11 minutes probably. Oh well. I ran a 15:18 2-mile month before last.

why is there always a thread like this?
I can run a mile in maybe 8 minutes. The odd thing is.. I can probably swim it in just over 17... tells you how bad of a runner I am :D

5: 47 during a practice at school (hs senior year which was 2004) and 5: 35 for the first mile split in our CC finals. Fastest 2 miles was 13 =( and fastest 3 miles was 19 45. I ran distances up to the marathon but not in a competative fashion whatsoever.

I sure remembered doing 9-11 laps in my 20 min run when I was in highschool. It is sure was my healthiest moment lololololololol Even I had more laps to go without regards about the time limit

Around 4 mins is all I can remembered.

Little under 2:00 in 2nd grade. The next year I developed a beer gut and never matched it again.

Probably low 7's/high 6's in high school. That was 20 years ago, and I'm not in very good shape now, though not terribly overweight. I am about to start running with some friends; I might be able to break 10 again if I train for a couple of months. Heh.

LMAO So your Porche can hit 305 eh? Downhill in a hurricane?

K, first of all, it's Porsche, so you're both wrong.

But back to the thread topic, 11 minutes or so, in 7th grade, and since then I have never run a mile or cared to, biking is much more fun anyway. 40 miles in 3 hours, eat THAT :p

5:07, my senior year of high school, which was 4 years ago. I've been plagued by injuries since then and haven't been able to improve on that time. Hopefully if I stay healthy for this track season I can go ~4:45. I ran a 5:15 a few months ago on just a few weeks of high-mileage, low intensity training with no speedwork and a terrible headcold so I have hope. :)

4:51 my HS junior year - with a cigarette hanging out of my mouth, just to see if I could do it. Never joined CC or track, though. Ah, to reflect on those years I threw away.
