What's the fastest/lowest level you've beaten Final Fantasy 6 in/on?

I know, weird question.

I knew a guy who said he beat FF6 (US 3) at level 16. I don't think that's possible, even with the vanish/doom combo.

What do you think?

Possible, i guess, but I really doubt it.

He had to have tried a lot, because a sheet lotta things can go wrong.

Well, he couldn't have many of the cool items like the magic box. I don't know, it just doesn't seem right.
