I'm looking for a new monitor and have decided that the fastest IPS panel is the way I'd like to go. I'm looking for a 19 inch but would go up in size if that gets me a faster panel. Thanks,

the Hyundai L90D+ is a great performer, 19in 8ms (~20ms average for color) very fast and a great price <400 ! it uses the same panel as the samsung thats almost the same, but this has DVI and its a great performer! no ghosting, ever!

I believe both of those are TN based panels, with only 6 bits per color. Kipa is looking specifically for an IPS based panel.

Thanks for the suggestions, but these are both TN panels. The TN panels just have too many shortcomings for me personally. I'm hoping a fast (response time) IPS panel will satisfy my every-so-often gaming habit without too much "smearing", but not have the compromises the TN panels still have right now that I just can't get over.

The Dell 2005FPW and 2405FPW use IPS panels rated at 12ms. Samsung should be coming out with some low response time PVA panel LCDs soon, they were showing them off at CeBit see here. PVA is just as good or better than IPS IMO.

What is it specifically that you do not like about Twisted Nematics panels? I could help you if you tell me your priorities (response time more important than color?) PVA panels offer great options as well. I love my TN panel, and I think even with 6-bit color it has potential if it's greatly tweaked. I haven't gone to such lengths yet, because color isn't that important to me when playing fast-paced games. I recommend you wait until Samsung releases their new panels (link from the above poster). They look pretty damn good, no pun intended. You might want to take a look at LCDs with panels from AU Optronics as well, they make awesome panels.
