What's the fastest CPU that can be used on an Asus P5Q?

I just got an Asus P5Q(the lowest one), what is the best CPU that will work on it?

It supports all Core 2 Duo and Quad CPUs, so the fastest dual-core is E8600 and the fastest quad-core is Q9650.

You can double-check from ASUS' support website but I'm pretty sure all P5Q series boards support Q9650.

You should be able to put in a QX9770 if it's on the cpu list.

I am not sure if it is worth it, but you should also be able to get a xeon x3380, which is like a Q9650 but with +.5 core multi, and is E0.

Also, a question that I have been curious about for a while...which, in general (unlocked multi disregarded) should overclock better? A high end E0, such as Q9650, x3370, or x3380, or the older stepping extremes, such as the QX9650 and QX9770? (I forget what stepping they were)
