The Asus A7V is a KT133 chipset board. Could an AMD T-Bird 1.4 gig or 1.3 gig works with this mobo? Thanks for advance.

Actually I believe its 1.4G 'B' or 200Mhz Bus. On the later BIOS, they remapped the mutipliers to run the higher speed processors. I am running my 1.2G TBird at 1.3 using the 12.5x multiplier.

this is copy&paste from a respected member from other forum

<< For a 200FSB proc, set your multiplier to 5X and the BIOS will recognize the 1.4 as 14X. The 1008 BIOS was remapped to allow 5x read as 14 when a 1.4 processor is in the system >>

and this

<< I have installed a 1.4 266 boxed Athlon processor in one of my A7V's, revision 1.02. I am using BIOS 1008. For the record, setting a 12.5x multiplier and a 110 FSB nets a speed of 1430, which means the 12.5x multiplier reads the 1.4 266 proc and automatically sets it to 13x. 13 x 110 = 1430 This is not in jumper free mode, it is in jumper mode and all settings are by the board. This is now verified, so if your A7V is a revision 1.02 and you are running BIOS 1008, enjoy either a 1.4 200 or a 1.4 266. Both will work fine. >>

this should answer your q..
