Whats the fastest 8GB USB flash drive out there?

I need a new memory stick for my mom who's old stick is just too slow. I don't need to have extra features just as long as it is fast.

No, not even close.

On cheaper crappy ones, write speeds are brutal.

I actually am looking for an 8-16 GB myself, so i too would love to hear results from owners in that size range.

I have a 16 GB Patriot i got a long time ago, & it seems that sadly, it's still faster than the average 8-16 GB you can find.
