Whats the easiest way to overclock a K7V and 700mhz T-bird?

I don't want to add a Goldfinger(yet>) but how else can I do it? I know there are some changes in BIOS that can speed it up but I'm not sure what they are. Thanks in advance.

If you don't want to use a GFD the only other way is to up the FSB from 100 to whatever the CPU chipset will take. K7V's should go to 110, maybe 115 if your real lucky.

Yeah, they do work on the KA7 and K7V, they just need a little bios tweaking usually. I believe the CPU pull up and drive stregth need to be adjusted.

I didn't have to do anything to it. Just put it in and it worked with the stock BIOS (1003). When I crank up the FSB do I have to up the voltage?

Crank the FSB up until it becomes a little unstable, then bump the voltage slightly. You should only bump the voltage to smooth out minor instability, just bumping without needing to is not a good idea. Also, I would not go more than .2v over default. Good luck.
