What's the easiest way to find someone (online) to be a 'running partner'?

Is there a good website that I could find someone to go running with in San Diego? I much prefer running with someone as it's fun and makes the time go by much faster. I don't really want to post a note in a gym, though I will if I can't find anyone in a week or so.

I looked at Craigslist, but all I saw was dating stuff...

I'd ask Anandtechers, but finding an athlete in here is like a needle in a haystack. :)

Thoughts?

Check your neighbors - you never know. When I moved to Bay Area, my next door neighbor turned out to be a former High School trek&field coach. He saw me one morning prepping for a run, and we ran ever since. It was great.

Thanks, but I'd prefer to do it online so I can screen people easier.

Local running club? Or go run at one of the local tracks and talk to people.

You know how there are those people who setup rendezvous online for consensual simulated rape experiences? (rather disgusting). Basically they find each other on Craigslist and agree to it consensually ahead of time then simulate it.

Well find yourself a gay one of those. You'll run like **** trying to get away and keep your speed up & time down in the process

There's a freebie weekly or monthly (don't remember) magazine available on racks everywhere dedicated to running/biking activities & competitions in SD County. There's an overload of that kind of info once you get there.

just go to your local park and start running. Once you figured out the regulars ask them to join you. it really isn't that difficult.
